The Branco Weiss Schools - Challenging and Nurturing Every Student
comprehensive schools | schools for at-risk students
The Branco Weiss schools network has a 20-year tradition of pedagogical innovation and intensive educational work, based on the methods of the Branco Weiss Institute for the Development of Thinking. In our schools, we bring our educational approach to full fruition, both among the students and among the teaching staff.
Comprehensive education furnishes our students and teaching staff with a challenging and nurturing experience from scholastic, personal, and community perspectives.
In our view, the teacher's work is the heart of the educational endeavor and the source of its quality. We therefore ascribe importance of the highest order to the professional and personal development of every educator in the network, and are committed to providing our teachers with a supportive work environment.
The Institute runs 3 comprehensive high schools: Anne Frank, Beit Shemesh, and Herzog,
and 10 schools for at-risk students: Golan-Katzerin, Qiryat Shemona, Merom Hagalil, Tiberias, Hadera, Ramle, Etgari Beit Shemesh, Modi'in, Ma'ale Adummim, and Beer-Sheva.
